This has become a thesaurus war. Congrats, I have an expansive vocabulary and rediculously high SAT score too. Natural selection will allow my superior genes to propagate while you kill yourself off at 120mph. (ok, obviously a kidding stab........ sort of) I'm happy. I've made my point already. Done deal. Get on with your life. I think what you are doing is stupid, wrong, and really asinine. I would feel I have wronged you if I didn't tell you so. Now I have. Put that in your mouth and chew on it.

well i would have to say i have nothing on him because ive gone over 120 mph in a dodge spirit im sure thats not very safe

Yeah I admite I have to apologize for my actions(which I do), BMW wrote a very nice literary work, and I should (and do) give him credit... I just highly dissapprove of his actions, and the look that it gives this forum when people see such stories.

I drive rather 'slowpokeish' most of the time... again just because I have ~125HP doesnt mean I have to use it. :wink:

Last August I drove my Audi S6 from Los Angeles to Minneapolis by myself. Left on a Saturday morning, got to my destination in Minneapolis at about 11pm Sunday. That includes stopping for a night in Denver.

Between LA and Vegas I did about 100-140. Went through the Virgin River Gorge at 90-120mph Did about the same speed in Utah. In Utah on I70 between the Moab exit and the Colorado state line I hit 160mph. Refueled in Fruita, CO. It was getting dark as I entered the most challenging part of I70 in Colorado, did 90 in the corners, 140mph in the straights going through the section between Glenwood Springs and the Eisenhower Tunnel. Between Denver and Odessa, NE, I did about 100-140mph again. From Kearney, NE to Minneapolis I was mostly doing about 90mph with only short bursts above that because of left lane hogs.

So don't tell me it's impossible or the roads aren't designed for such speeds.

V1 and an Archer (Radio Shack) police scanner was all I had. 0 tickets.

Haha. Glad to know other people here can put there foot down and actually drive. There is a difference between reckless driving and controlled driving. I'm glad you for one had a successful and "quick" trip in a safe way.
I've found my V1 and BCT8 to be invaluable items when traveling.
