well, i started mounting the unit toward the top of the windshield and have grown to like it, it seems to pick up from a better distance and earlier and stronger alerts.
Transit police around here do not have any radar units. You can never pick them up. They usually can't pull you over anyways unless you are interfering with public transportation. There are a lot of transit cops in my area though.
You said your Whistler Pro-73 seems to detect better mounted high? I assume you originally had it mounted low (just above the dash)?Quote:

I mount my unit high but I dont see much of a differnce either way. I picked up K band yesterday At 1.3 miles and It would do better if there had not a been a big turn in the highway. (I have the pro 73)
