Performance wise: Both the same

Features: the xtr-695 has alot more features tham the pro 78

Screen wise: The pro 78 has the best brillant blue screen ever. But the cool part about the xtr-695 is you could change colors of the screen according to the bands.

Very true..Mount High and hard wire above your RVM. The Pro 78 you don't have to worry about it. Use 3m super lock fasteners from Radio shack

Use these to mount your RD and its great for the black fritz above the rear view mirrors. Its like super velcro

okay thanks but i prefer to have my next RD on middle of the mount so i can see the lights. since you own one so i have a question for you. does it give a lot of false alerts?

Depends on the FILTER settings. It will false on automatic doors but briefly and i can live with it. FILTER 2 protects you from RD falses like COBRA,PNI detectors.
and FILTER 1 does the same but FILTER 2 is allot better. I run HIGHWAY in the city and x band is the biggest problem. CITY 2 is very quiet in the city. I have many videos of the Pro 78 at my link below
