V1, pop off.

What got me started thinking about this possible POP off issue on a V1 was after watching venom400's video:

Re: Whistler with superb Instant on at GOL 2009
Nice job GOL! It looks like the testing confirms what us Whistler users have been saying from day one...it's been a long time coming!!!
I do not normally get the full KA full blasts that some members here complain about. I will say that I was stuck in rush hour traffic in Orlando last week and started to get these alerts every 5 minutes or so....I tried to look at the other cars around me and noticed that, in many cases, they were using Cobras. I am starting to think that these alerts are not false at all...just filtering issues. I did not change my filter settings..just left it at default so this may have resolved the issue. Also, I did not get these alerts in the same areas on my way down...only on the way back while stuck in traffic.

Whistler has a lag time to hold a signal longer than it is. This was noticed on my Whistler response video. I could do half second trigger pulls and it would alert 2-3 times longer.
That's not what I've seen. Most of the quick trigger shots in this video are quick little "bloops".

The Pro 78 lags ..Havn't tested the SE
Did the Whistler identify 34.7 on the quick trigger pulls and how often?

Don't remember for sure, but I think it did almost every time.
Re: Whistler with superb Instant on at GOL 2009
After reading some GOL 09 Result..only thing Whistler SE did well is against I/O,,but all other results, they are at rock bottom, check out Ka Range Test(33.8,34.7,35.5):deal:

Very tough situation and test course. Whistler does very well on flat straight highways/Interstates :D But the point was all detectors alerted before the Kill zone. Look at the Cobra it was in high gear !

Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, I performed this test. :haha: What I am saying is that this testing was run in the Whistler's default setting, which is filter mode. Based on my own testing, it's my opinion that these results would have been significantly different, if the setting on the Whistler was filter2, instead of filter.

I'm not saying that GOL should of done a real world test, that really isn't the type of things that we do, we actually already have a lot of information about real world performance from different users on the forums so an official real world test is not necessary, especially since you already have driven around with the SE for a significant amount of time DJ.
Again, I'm not trying to be a pain, it's just that looking back at some of the arguments that ensued when you tested the SE series, I'm left a little confused by some of the statements made in your post.
I'm saying that on these Whistler SEs, false alerts and performance are related. If you live in an area where Ka band false alerts are a problem, in order to deal with them, it has been my observation that you will be sacrificing responsiveness. That's my point.
Ok I understand. Thanks for the clarification.
I'm actually quite surprised by some of the results, even the Cobra outperformed some of the more respected detectors in this forum in certain parts of the test.

LOL! Yeah, the Cobra beat all of the V1s that had Ka guard on, on the 35.5Ka real world test.
Re: Whistler with superb Instant on at GOL 2009
The Whistler's were dead last in the Ka constant on test though, if you average all Ka runs.
