You will be interested in a whistler when you get error codes on your bell 985. Or a laser ticket. Blinder is great but you can still get tickets from it. Adding veil makes a big difference and will reduce your chances of getting a laser ticket but still even with that its still possible to get a laser ticket. Whistler is hands down truley awesome when it comes to laser pickup. I own a bell rx 65 and I can honestly not say the same from Bell. Plus the new XTR units with the added ku detection. This makes the new XTR a well worth while investment in the future. Also the ka range on the pro 73 is not bad at all. I have never gotten a single ka ticket after over a million miles of driving and encounter every kind of ka situation. I mean sometimes the results will have you believe once ka goes off on a whistler you will see the cop and have a ticket. And thats just not true. People have this mindset that whistler is cobra just more fancy looking. I truley wish people would get that out of their freakin head.
Also we have some people working on getting some good video of whistler in action. And this will I hope put to rest these crazy quack theorys of whistler having no ka range.
How does the Pro 73 match up with your RX65, Jamescase?
Also, you have it backwards, I think the cobras are prettier, but you are right...Whistlers are better, hands down!
I really like my Bel 895. I think that I am going to try one of these XTR Whistlers when they come out.
unable so far to test ka, but thats whats import. KA!!! over a slight hill the K band went off about 1/2 block sooner then the bel 985 looking at a school radar sign.
Hey talking about the reception of the whistler, trust me is good I was hiding my PRO 58 when going to publix so no one could see and break my window, even though it was not on the windshield it went off when I was getting close to Publix. I took some pics with my cellphone, so they suck.Quote:

the radar bounces off the metal around the interior and it goes off even on the floor. But getting to 9 is pretty good I would say. Like I said, its good, but the bel 900's series is better in KA based on tests.
I dont know about you, but Im very satisfied with my whistler Pro 73, it rarely goes off of with those quick Ka POP blips. In my eyes the range is satisfactory for me because I have more than enough time to slow and it sees laser very well along with the VEIL I use.
I love my PRO 58 man. It has not yet saved me, but I know it will, maybe not from laser because I don't have Veil or anything but I know it would help me.Quote:
