Bel v940 and v955

I am looking for a new detector under $200 and narrowed it down to these two. Whats really the main difference between the 2?
I know on GOl tests the 955 did good but its also about $30 more.

Ive never owned a BEL product so Im a little curious on those models.

I would buy the 955 over the 940. It claims to have 2X more range and the Auto Sensitivity Mode.

The GoL testing had this unit as the best buy under $200.

It is a solid unit and i have owned its identicle brother the Beltronic V895(aka V955 just renamed for radio shack) when they carried it.

I owned a 940 at one time, it was descent came in a nice carrying bag. I would go for the V955. It's my next detector after seeing the GOL shootout too.
