    Default STi mounted upside down?

Does anyone use the STi driver mounted upside down? Couldn't help but notice the function to invert the display... but I dont understand how you would mount it for that to be useful at all... if you use the suction cups, they get in the way of the sensors... maybe some pics?

    Thanks!

The display inversion feature is not intended for windshield mounting.
    It is for visor mounting.
With the STI's buttons being mounted on the front of then unit, am not sure what benefit this would provide. I could understand if the STI's buttons were on the top, like on my old Bel 645STi, which also had this feature.

I do , it is not in the windshield ... in a ban area ... in my car it fits better up-side down in a corner ... 8)

The idea is to use the optional visor clip and mount the STi upside down on the top side of your visor rather than on the bottom side. That way the STi is fairly concealed between the visor and the headliner in your car. Also note that the STi's internal horn antennas flare downward. When you mount the STi upside down, the antennas flare upward. This works out nicely since the plane of most visors slopes downward toward the vehicle's front bumper, and means that the STi should still have the same range as long as its front radar horns aren't blocked by the roof frame or aren't behind a metallic tint strip.

ive had mine mounted upside-down for about 18 months now...works great.

the advantage for me is the concealment...i wont go into detail.

I've been using my upside-down on the visor for months now. Seems to work fine, but I can't help notice that the laser sensors are now closer to the visor side and would probably be less effective than right-side-up.

I wish the 9500I had this feature, the buttons are too nice to hide.

Anyone found a way to hide the cable from the top of the headliner into the visor?

I tried those CD things, they are HIDEOUS. I'd rather look good when caught (which i don't usually speed anyways)...

Also, to prevent the H from showing...is there a way? Completely dark until a band is received and then display the band and strength?
