well got my new rx65 blue but it looks lilke its been used before

I got my rx65 today and it was shring wrap to , but when i opend it the lighter cord had came out of place and i saw that there were 2 scarctes on it, one scarct was on the dispaly lense at the far conrner of the right, barley could notice it. The other black scartch was next to the display, but not deep. just a black line. So i was wondering has this been used before or did it get scracth from delivering. also i mention that the cord had gotten out of its place, so could the cord had put a scarcht on it. I dont know what i should do.

well not onlly the scraches ytime i turn on the unit it doesnt cycle thorouh the settub it goes directly to highway mode and sometimes it closes, it its definalty a defected one, iam going to get a replacemetn.

but i dont know about the blue displays, maybe ill get a red one.

Where did you buy it from? Also you said it was shrink wrapped? was the smart cord pludded in the unit. What kind of shape was the box in? was all the paper work included? these are things to look for.

I always say bel escort products are never perfect most of the time close. I just think these units are tested before being sent out, so they are handled.

Also, the scratches on the display itself or the smartcord?

it was in perfect condition, the scrathes are the the detector, but nevermind the scraches i just went out again and when i press the power button , it opens and turns off quickly and some times in opens but doesnt
cycle through the setup, and it also doesnt go into programming mode

it is for sure defective, i dont know if iam going to get a replacment or i was thinking of gettting a 9500i instead,

I think in another post you said you got it from radarbusters? I would call them and tell them it is defective.

i already did that, and the lady told me it sounds like a defective unit and yes i did buy it from radarbusters, but i have to call back tommorw for the customerservice so i could get a replacement, because customer service was closed, they lady told me to call tommrow, i hope they dont make me pay for 2 shipping fees, one for the bad unit and one for the good unit, thats 15 bucks right there. anyways if they do iam going to tell them.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe i might get a v1, and just return rx65 and get my money back . and but 50-70 dollars more in. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No you should not pay the return shipping since it is defective. These are the reasons to buy from an authorized source.

Do another thing, look at the serial number on the bottom of the detector and see if it matches the number on the box.
