V955 false K

just got this detector and it is constantly going off K-band around shopping centers. I thought it would be X band that would be the source of the false alerts. It happens in all modes even city. Is there a programming fix?

no most newer automatic doors run on a higher frequency similar to k therefor you now get k-band falses not x-band

I just got mine today and noticed the same thing, but I already had a save today. I caught a cop driving toward me running K. I slowed down almost right when I got hit. I proceeded to drive 35 mph (psl) and we crossed paths about 2mins later. It was sweet. I wonder how far away he was cause it seemed that we were both driving in eachothers direction the whole time.

Great to hear it. I guess we'll just have to put up with annoying falsies. I can't wait for my 1st save.

You'll get used to some of the false alerts, but after time with the RD you'll know which K alerts are falses and which aren't.

I didn't realize u were in Columbus. I have brothers in New Albany and Gahanna.

V955 will treat you very well. Ive had mine for about a year and a half, never done me wrong.

A door opener that causes a K band alert is not similar to K, it is actual K band radar. The radar used to automatically open a pharmacy door is no different than the radar that LEOs use to determine your speed.

this is reality, I guess this is police policy , let someone wince who have RD, and They use X band gun. That is mean let someone live in false Alarm, or miss real Alarm and get a big ticket.
