BEL Vector 995 DOES detect Ka-POP radar!!!

I would first like to thank 'Jimbonzzz' for testing my detector

Here is the results:

@ ~528 Feet (1/10 Mile), it alerted 21/25 times
@ ~1056 Feet (2/10 Mile) it alerted 23/25 times

At 528 feet, the detector had line of sight with the radar and constant-on pegged it at full strength. But at 1056 feet, there was some trees and a little bit of terrain between the detector and radar. Constant-on only gave 2-3 bars of signal strength.

Jim also mentioned that he did some bench testing with the Enforcer Ka-POP(67ms) and the Z-35 K-band(16ms) which he shot on camera so he might post the video in the near future

Personally i knew something was up when the BEL RX65 detected Ka-POP and the Vector 995 is built on the same platform with less features

glad to know your v995 detects PoP ka radar i guess my v895 does to but i am going to sell it and get me something different like and x50 or maybe the STI. i all ready know its going to rock!! on range :wink:

glad to hear that it picks up ka-pop. dont know if i'll ever need it around here, but its nice to know!
