They should though cause that would be great. and I'm sure they can pull in additional revenue if some STi owners are willing to shell out 100-150 to upgrade than to buy another 500 bucker. hahha

Also, yea I have something against the design of the redline I dont' like the button placement, since I mount my STi as high as possible on the windshield.

Yes, if you are happy with an $80-trade in allowance on your STi. That's what Escort will give you for it.

oh . There is no way I'd trade in my STi for just $80 but I'm interested in seeing the RL performance vs STi.

THey should offer an upgrade for STi to give RL perf, if better.
I agree, I think we should be able to upgrade the Sti to RL standards for a reasonable price. Like escort did with the 9500i, you could upgrade to a IX for around $125.

I think the new button layout is BETTER for mounting high which is why I think they chose it. The buttons won't be against the headliner or visor.

I hate buttons on the face because it tends to move it around if you use a clip. And buttons on top are hard to get at. The little shelf on the Redline is nice. So you can kind of squeeze it and not move it and it does not matter where it's mounted.

Button on top are not good for suction cup mount either.

I thought the buttons on the front of my old STi were optimal. The ones on top of my (even) older V995 weren't too bad, but I don't think I'd even like the placement on the Redline.

What makes you come to this conclusion? I wouldn't assume that the DSP is any better/worse than the STi...

For all you folks look to do a trade in I'd sell my STi on Ebay first...you'll get a good $250 for it instead of a lame $50.

NB- It'd be interesting to see how this performs with laser

Ummmmm... because escort says it has the best range for ALL radar signals? I would guess the DSP is better on the redline but the filtering is better on the STi?
