The latest detector tools update is available now at the Beltronics web site. At this stage it's only available for the GX65 not the STi-R+.

You HAVE to use it, the new updates are no longer downloaded to your computer, they are downloaded directly into the detector, AFTER Detector Tools sends Belscort the serial number to make sure you have a subscription. There is no separate download for the updates.

I just downloaded v1.2 and the file is named v1.1 and nothing seems different. WTF?

Our mistake, the website has been fixed. It should now let you download the international versions of Detector Tools 1.2

So if I wanted to download the update to my laptop, and then take my laptop out to the car so that I can update my custom-installed 9500ci with the latest firmware and/or database, I won't be able to do that because I have no Internet connection in my car?

Seems like whoever dreamed up this "feature" didn't think things through...
