    Default M25 Install Pics 350z

Had my Blinder installed today (after making an attempt at doing it myself and deciding that it was not going to happen )

Here are some pics of the installation, i'm pretty happy with the job, they put everything where i wanted it and the heads appear to be straight and level.

    The interior w/ m25, v1, nuvi w/ trapster data.

The kill switch, they replaced the stock switch with a smaller one to make it fit neatly into the space

I had them mount the LED down and out of the way so i could check it if necessary but didn't have it shining in my eye at all times

    The heads

This is one of the reasons i decided i couldnt do the install my self, you can see here the angle at which they needed to be mounted to be straight against the curve of the car, those little holes are from my attempt

the bracket they made to make it happen, looks like i need to clean the heads.

So that's it, hopefully i will find some way to get some testing done soon, anyone know of anything going on in north NJ ?

Looks good. Appears they did get the heads pointed straight ahead and level. Now time for some testing.

Next time so you know I took a piece of 1/8" aluminum angle, cut it to the length of the head with factory bracket, painted it black and mounted the head to that angle. Then used 3M double sticky tape to mount that angle to the car instead of drilling holes.

I like the way they worked that switch into the existing switch plate. Very inconspicuous.

I worry about that head set-up though. They are so recessed that I think you may experience problems with off-axis shots, which comprises a big percentage of all laser shots.

Is that a CrapPlate on the front?

    Yes it is.

I know what you're saying but i just don't see any other way to mount them, short of just drilling holes in the bumper and mounting them up next to the plate. Even if we went out all the way to the edge of the black grille piece they are still recessed from the painted part of the front. I would need to build some kind of platform that extends out like 5 or 6 inches and mount them to that to get them out far enough to clear the bumper.

As you can see there is basically nothing on the front of the car that is a flat surface other than that plate, so i'm thinking that should be to my advantage. On the other hand the car is white .... so hopefully i'll be able to do some testing to see how it does.

    Nicceee install bro

They could of used some mounting tape but I actually like what they did much better and looks like it took a lot of time to make that braket and install the heads. This is the first Install I've seen on here that I really liked by a installation shop. Nice and off-axis I would have to see the car in person or more angled shots to tell but I think it should be fine. Nice install later

yeah i think it's ok. i just went out and looked at it from a pretty extreme angle and you still have a nice clear view of the heads.
Hard to see in the picture but here it is

I think a made a good choice in the shop, it's a small operation with a single bay, just two guys, the owner and his 1 partner of over 20 years. they do all the work themselves and i felt good about it because they both listened to exactly what i wanted and i knew they were going to be the ones doing the install.

The black box is a lock kit that makes your license plate non removable. I wouldn't use it if I had laser jammers as it looks like one and their ugly but thats how he wants his car thats how he wants it.
it's an ezpass i prefer it there to the ugly windshield-mounted white box, or having to hold it up at every toll
