    Default Police Headlights (California)

Does anyone have pictures of what police headlights look at night?

Nothing more then an alternate flashing relay hooked up tot he high beams. Some depts are now using using strobe or LED flashers in the headlight assembly. I find all very effective a clearing traffic.

It all depends on what they use as their standard vehicle. Back in my home town, they use nothing but Crown Vic cruisers, so they are pretty easy to spot. Here in Orlando, they have the FHP Crown Vic and the city has the newer Impallas. Couple days ago found out they had ghost Impallas. Almost scared the **** out of me  But yea, the Crown Vics can be distingiushed by they're parking lights. Once you see them, they're real easy to spot. Same with the tail lights.

Here a couple pix. (Kinnda small )

This link may not be much of a help for night shots. But I use it to check up on what new cars LEOs are using on texas highways. California is it's own link on the left side.

I don't have any pictures, but the best way to spot them is that they have yellow lights towards the inside and then the normal white lights farther on the outside. Most cars have it the opposite where the yellow lights are on the outside of the white lights. I'm not sure why crown vics are different.

It was Ford's way of getting back at LEOs by making them easier to spot Maybe it was one of those things that looked cooler on paper than in real life?

Then again, usually, by the time you spot the LEOs car, they've already spotted you :?
