on police to use a Super car as an actual police car in service is Italy with the Gallardo

Most police departments just use these super police cars as advertising and to get attention

The Italian police Gallardo was a donation from Lambo. Although used primarily for fundraising events and PR campaigns it is actually used in service for transporting frozen organs and some traffic patrols on the autostrada.

The German supercars are donated by a tuning firm for an autoshow.

All of the U.S. LE supercars I know of have been confiscated vehicles.

Frankly, I think they are a great PR device. But I'm a gear head so make what you want of my opinion.[/img]

Almost anything's better than a crown vic

Chevy used to make a police version of the Camaro. I was reading online somewhere that cops loved 'em, but police chiefs hated them. It seems the majority of cops are not really any better drivers than the rest of the general population. Lots of police Camaros ended up crashed since most of their drivers thought they were hot $hit.

Fort Worth, Texas police use slick top cameros for traffic on the interstates alot. I havnt seen one in a while, but they used to be all over the place.

You couldnt tell it was a cop untill you were right on top of them.
