How much torque were you putting down with the turbo?

314, the spec is a 2.5li engine and puts out crazy torque so in almost all cases you will see the specs torque match the hp or be just below it.

314? You can get that from the 1.8 on the STOCK TURBO

    Japan knows nothin' 'bout torque

Nonsense. How much faster do you want the police to drive?

im not saying they couldnt, but the stock 1.8 cannot get that out of 8 psi... There is a huge difference between a spec v and a civic... Im not saying a GTI is bad because its not, my buddy has a brand new 08 and im actually in the process of making a 3" turbo back for it but my spec at 2 psi beat his gti, let alone the 18psi that it is capable of at the moment.... (but i completly agree more then 350/400whp in a fwd vehicle is totally pointless). I have my other rwd car for the real fun When its done i will unveil it.

Dude the Spec V sounds good... I like the price on it as well.

Its also not to shabby looking.

You really got that much horsepower on 8 PSI? What kind of Turbo was it? Is this on stock engine internals?

^ Exactly, it's not the PSI - but how much air you move.

It was a 60 trim t3/t4 and they even put SC61 on specs and we have some people with over 400whp at around 14-15psi with those. Yes that was on stock internals with wrx 440cc fuel injectors. The QR25 is a very capable engine, the rods are the weak point but normally they are good to about 14psi. Im making a STS turbo kit for mine right now, but you can also SC the spec if you want to go that route too....

Here is proof for non believers... YouTube - dyno run 500whp spec-v

This one had much lower torque though (340ftlbs) do to a few internals...
