Default What general times are speed traps most prevalent?

Answers will probably be all over the board on this but what general time of day seems to be most popular?

It seems I usually spot the LEOs running speed enforcement weekdays between 12 and 3pm. Usually with laser.

Almost never in rush hour, but sometimes an hour before rush hour, or an hour after.

Sometimes I've seen them at really odd times like 10:30 on a Sunday morning.

5:00AM to 9:30AM getting people on their way to work and kids on the way to school. 12:30PM to around 3:30PM during all the times that kids get out of school. 4:30PM to 6:30PM harrassing people on their way home from work. Then around 11PM to 2AM looking for people to pull over and harrass and try to search their cars.

For me always right on the afternoon rush hour 2-6pm. Anyone who by some miracle gets a ticket at those times probably deserved it.

My personal experience is very close to those times.

    I'd say 7:00am-10:00am. 11am-3:30pm. 4pm-7pm. 11pm-2:20am.

X2 same here. I leave about 4:45am and the local cops are usually hiding in the dark running C/O or I/O X-band. Same thing coming home in the evening.

I agree with the original times in the city..... out in the sticks and it could be anytime.

In Austin it's usually at the tail end of rush hour. The traffic on the highways is still to backed up and slow for speed enforcement. Besides we're too busy with collisions and stalls during that time.
