Origional 8500

I want an origional 8500 non X50. What options are the same on the 8500? If anyone has an origional 8500 and would like to sell it PM me with details.

I think all options are the same except the POP one, can't remember well if that is the only one.

X50 has POP, 8500 OR had SWS instead

otherwise I believe them to be the same....you can probably look up the manual of the 8500 Original at the Escort Homepage if you want

just checked the manual myself, its all the same, except for SWS, same features and all, , different hardware though

and now im questioning whether 8500 original came in Blue or not, because on the X50 manual cover it shows both Red AND Blue, the 8500 cover just showed a red one

Correct,

Blue display is for X50 only.

8500 has SWS, no POP

X50 has POP, no SWS.

My original 8500 kicks a$$! In fact I'm still using it. Sorry, I won't ever sell mine.

You can take your chances on Ebay. The last Software revsion for original 8500 is Rev 15. Try Ebay for a used Rev 15 in good shape.

I could spend $100 for a regular 8500, is the detection range mostly the same on the 8500 and the X50? Right now I am so pissed at VR I am almost ready to give Escort my business with an X50.

Range is the same if not BETTER for the 8500 original!!!
