Default moving radar reciever on SR7

I'm thinking about moving my radar reciever on the SR7 up into the cabin high on the windsheild. The installation manual says to place the reciever at the front bumper and I suspect the unit was engineered to work there but sometimes I can't leave well enough alone.

Do you think I would experience any positive/negative results?
My car is very low to the ground and the distance I would be moving it is only 30" vertically.

I think that you are going to get a better radar range than before, but because it is made to outside (which is worst than being inside the car) it's going to be more than fine.

The laser reciever/jammers are seperate lenses. They stay down by the front license plate and one in the rear.

Only the radar reciever will come up into the cabin.

you'll be fine moving it in.
mine have been mounted in cabin since day 1.

this may also account for some of my great performance from them, since the front one is about 6' from the ground. (truck)

the added height won't hurt and will probably help a bit, especially in light traffic, as the receiver won't be as blocked by the vehicle in front of you.
