Nice save today (although I wasnt speeding so maybe not a true save). I was travelling down a hill and under a stone bridge. Prior to the bridge, I got a K band alert. The ramp up went quick from 1-3-3-6-7-7-8-8-9-10-10, as the LEO was travelling in the other lane towards me with his radar on. I was impressed at the "around the corner" sight of the 9500i, and around a stone bridge!! Ramp up was as it should have been considering he was coming at me.
Sweet! The ramp up fix is official. It probably has better sensitivity as well.
OK, I have a question: If the ramp-up really is fixed, I could see buying another one & selling my sons 8500 X50.
How do I make sure when I buy one I actually get the new fix??

Buy direct after the 1st of November, they should have updated old stock or circulated it by then. Just to be safe if you would like, ask when you order if it has the ramp up fix.
Has anyone asked about Escort posting an update file on their website yet? Couldn't be that hard to do if one has a laptop and can take the USB cord to the car where the 9500i needs the 12 volt power cord.
I doubt they will do that, I bet they just don't trust consumers to do it correctly.Originally Posted by statusquo
Talked to Escort. Firmware flash is not available through USB, you have to send your unit in.
I'm not quite sold it's official yet. When it is though... I'll be one of the first ones to buy one.Originally Posted by CJR238
