    Default X50 Rattling

I have an older car and I was wondering if there was any way to make the X50 vibrate less? Can get kind of annoying on a trip. Someone told me rubber on the bottom will take care of it, but any suggestions?

If there is room, mount it above the rear view mirror so that it is resting on it.

Try bending the mount just a bit to see if you can get the detector to sit flat against the windshield and be LOCKED in a detent. The metal windshield mount sometimes needs to be bent a bit to better match the slope of the windshield. If the detector LOCKs into a detent and is flush against the glass it won't rattle much at all.

Bending your mount will fix the issue depending on the slop of your windshield. It worked for me when I tried this method. All Windshields are different so bending the mount is necessary sometimes.

Thanks. I have bent the mount before, and it minimalized the rattling, but it has started again. Should I do this again? Or just try something else?

It didn't work the way as mentioned. However, I remounted, only this time high enough to where it was not resting on the RVM and bent the mount. No more rattling. Thanks for the feedback.
