    Default ummmm yeah...

Well i did it. I ordered a 9500I for something new to play with. And to use it when i send my V1 back to get tuned and what not. So 1st question: what kind of switch should i get to switch from V1 to 9500I? A link would be nice.

number 2: it has dark mode right? what do you see when its in dark mode?

number 3: Am i stupid for having the number 1 and 2 RDs?

P.S. I 2nd day shipped it to me. lol (that was point less info.)

Not sure what you mean by what kind of switch to get to switch from V1 to 9500i.

The 9500i has a Full Dark mode (no illumination whatsoever).

Stupid for having the #1 and #2 RDs? Heck no! You are going to love your V1 for open highway driving, and love your 9500i for suburban and city driving and for quick trips to town.

Use a SPDT (single pole double throw) center off switch on the 12 volt supply line. That will allow for alternating power between the two units, center position being (off).

I wonder if there is a phone jack splitter that has a built in switch to turn one off and the other on. That would make things so much easer.

Wiring up a SPDT center off switch is simple enough.

I use the five fingers hand switch. I just swap out one for the other! Today is a 9500i day!
