Safety Warning System.

Anyone get any alert from SWS?
I have been using radar detector come with SWS for more than 15 yrs. (used to have Whistlers, Radio Shack, Escorts), but never get one alert from SWS.
How do we know Escort 9500i and x do have SWS, or Escort just say so. The old ones you can see those messages.

I never have had any warnings on mine either. I actually forgot about that feature. The Garmin GPS I have sends a traffic signal but that also is mainly a useless feature as well. It makes me wonder who /how the info is supposed to be transmitted.

I've only recieved 1 sws alert a little over a year ago in orlado while on I-4. had my bel rx-65 and it was alerting me to constuction up ahead, other than that single alert i've never seen it again.

Ahhh...like the Door Close button on an elevator...useless.

FYI, Escort factory default is SWS OFF (as well as POP OFF). So unless you set it to ON you will never get any alert.

I leave both of those off. BC, I have read that they slow down the filter and therefore the alerts on your RD.
