Default Passport 9500ci Installation on 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo 6 Speed

Check out where he installed the radar antenna. I bet you he gets great radar detection in that location.

"The radar portion gets neatly installed behind the driver’s headlight and you can see where we positioned the laser sensors, split wide on the nose and just above the license plate in the rear…"

I highly doubt the 9500ci radar antenna performs to its full potential where they have it mounted. The rest of the install is clean though. The shifters even look properly mounted.

I thought the rest of the install looked clean too.

Pretty sweet install except for the radar head. I doubt it is doing much in that location they described.

For what it cost the guy, I don't think it's anything special. REBINC blows these guys out of the water IMO.

I've got to agree I have a feeling he got ripped off. Not to mention some of the other RDs that are mentioned in that thread, but it seems like that company is a rip off.

I've been to this shop, and know these guys. They typically do very good work on very high end cars. The radar head location was a bit lazy, in my opinion, but it's still going to perform a lot better than a ***

The goal is not to be better than that underperforming, overpriced brand. The goal is to have superb detection. I guarantee that 35.5 detection will be awful where they have the radar antenna mounted. My radar antenna was mounted here and performance was horrible.

Then I moved it here and performance is now incredible!
