Secondly, I/O radar is just what it sounds like, the LEO has it off, then instantly turns it on. If the radar unit is off, there is nothing to detect, so your 9500i stays quiet. Then when the LEO turns his radar on, your 9500i goes nuts, just like it's supposed to. The fact that the LEO is sitting on the opposite side of a hill tells you that this particular LEO is doing all he can to reduce the detection range of his radar and it works. Returning your 9500i will not change any of that.
Third, VASCAR is just a timing device. The LEO times how long it takes you to travel between two spots, then based on the distance traveled, calculates your speed. It's just a timer. There is no such thing as a timer detector. The only defense against VASCAR is your eyes.
