    Default Ordered the 9500 IX

Decided to move up from my 8500 X50 Blue. Can't wait for it to arrive towards the end of this week. Any suggestions on the settings?

It is a truly amazing detector. Unless I leave my part of town or I am in another city, my radar detector does not false. Period. A quiet detector with similar or better radar detection than any other windshield mount on the market is IMO the best on the market. Even if you don't lockout falses, raw filtering combined with auto-sensitivity probably still makes it the quietest on the market. What type or radar is common in your area?

Mostly Ka 34.7 and K Band about 80% C/O. Last week I picked up a Travis County unit running 33.8 C/O three days in a row which was a first. Seeing a lot more Pro Lite laser guns being used.

You're gonna need a jammer. A radar detector can't save you from laser. You're gonna have to shell out more money but it is your only defense against a Prolite (or any laser).
    Check out these.

    Laser Protector

I can't find the site but Laser Mask did respectable against the Pro Lite

I run mine in highway mode. No point in auto when all the falses are locked out.

The sesitivity on ka never changes on auto so I keep mine in auto and it goes on full when I'm speeding that's why I keep it in auto it's slightly more quiet.

I run mine in Highway mode, unless I'm in the city and then it's Auto No X. As Clay said it is sooo quiet it's spoiled me. I find myself hardly ever running my V1 now.

I use Highway mode unless im in uncharted territory where I haven't TrueLocked. I also prefer Expert mode so i can see all potential threats in more detail.
