What is TSR means ? Is that a new treat on the road?

TSR stands for traffic signal rejection, this software will block those annoying traffic flow monitoring radar sources.

That is per the escort radar forum and their "Official Escort Rep" on the forum. Interesting to say the least. I wonder what the turn around time will be and just how much better my detector might perform after the upgrade. Not 100% sure about the device blocking more signals being a good thing but if tuning the unit helps performance I am game. Hate to be a canary but it would be nice to know the unit is performing at its very best when it is returned.

EDIT - just checked the Escort Forums....it looks like any S7 antenna owners will want to wait before sending their unit in!!! They're not yet sure what they're going to do with the S7s, and may even replace your unit with an M4!!!

This software is specifically for X50s with the M4 platform. To identify which platform of X50 you own, the FCCID on the serial number for an M4 X50 is: QKLX5M4.

The refurbished X50s available from our eBay outlet store do not include this new software, they are all S7 based units.

This is exactly what they've done. The good news is that it can be turned on and off. This would work on the freeways here in SoCal, since CHP uses only 34.7Ka and laser. Basically, turn it on for freeway driving, turn it off when you exit the freeway.

I have what is sure to be one of the first X50. FCC id is QKL8500. Do you think this can be up-dated? Is it worth it? It is a backup to my V1 and 9500i.

No it cannot be updated with TSR.
