... and I'm stuck on perma-hold at Escort... and their online chat isn't working. Is anyone actually at work at Escort CS today???

I have had pretty good luck using the online chat. You can also contact EscortRadar on Escort's corporate forum and he will get you taken care of.

Online chat only tells me to "leave a message"... I left a message and got an automated email saying to call the customer support number, which left me on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up and hung up.

Probably their ONE customer support rep is out to lunch, or called in sick.

Nothing like a $500 RD crapping out after 5 months. Actually it works fine after a power-cycle, but it's done the Service Required twice in as many days now. So it's time to send it in.

Good thing I have a few spare RDs kicking around. At least with both a V1 and a Redline, I'm still covered if one goes down. And I also have the RX65 and X50 as secondary backups.

Slow response from Escort is to be expected today because of the holiday yesterday and they have to catch up with stuff from yesterday.

Actually, I was told they had a snow storm yesterday and they let a lot of folks leave early.

I also got the "service required" notification on my Redline

It is also going back for service.
