This is from 2007 so it has some age to it. I am not sure how the FCC investigation ended. I would imagine being a Bushnell there would be nothing Uncle Charlie (FCC) could do. I wonder if any LEO’s have handed out actual radar guns to unlicensed civilian community groups. That would more likely be a chargeable offense through the FCC.

Carmel, Indiana had a similar program but they were handing out Decatur
Genesis VP K band radar guns, just like the PD uses on their motorcycles.
The program was abandoned but an official reason was never given. I've heard there were some "heated disputes" between neighbors.

No, he has nothing better to do than enforce the entire community and biatch about something. They were called "Condo Commandos" in Florida and patrolled everywhere in their little village making life miserable for residents by trying to wield power. It could be speeding, the size and shape of the mailbox, the paint color on your unit, patio furniture, a few weeds here and there, a door knocker...you name it, they'd biatch.

I live in a development of houses with an association that's not gated and the head honcho president elect is on a speeding kick in the streets with a Bushnell and waving his crooked arthritic finger at people as they drive by. Now he wants to have speed bumps installed throughout. He can't do it because not being a private gated community it's deemed county streets. But it's not stopping him from hounding the local police to come and monitor traffic and speeds to get the county to install them.

My Grandmom lives in a gated community here in PA and it has its on security force. They have one K band gun and I've been hit with I/O a few times. They can not write you a normal ticket, just a $50 citation. They also can not follow you out of the neighborhood if they were to follow you.
