    Default looks like gonna have to send 8500 into escort

    well now im starting to regret buying a used one.. ive only had it 2 weeks and im getting self cal about every 3 days and service required once.. So i guess im gonna send it in to escort for 59.99 they said they would fix me up!! being it was made in 04 im hoping its worth 60.00 to fix it guess this is what i get for buying it used lol

    The positive side of this is that you know your RD will be in good working order when you get it back, the negative side is you have to pay $60 extra for your RD(stating the obvious here I know). I think if I purchased any used RD I would send it in for a good diagnostic/upgrade no matter what just to make sure I got that extra little piece of mind it was in good working order. The 8500 is a good RD, I ran the x50/non X50 for about a yr 1/2 and it worked fine for me.

    I like my Refurbed 8500. Too bad my Redline doesn't have its ramp up.

    My Refurb is over a year old now and still sharp as the day I got it back from warranty service, 2 weeks after purchase. No regrets though. Sounds like the OP bought his from another source though.
