    Default WTF Escort????

My Redline is going back today. Its been strangely intermittent with its performance which has kept it from going back to Escort as one detection is terrible and the next acceptable.
I've run radar detectors since the early 80's so I understand some of the factors of radar and getting stellar detections and terrible detections, and the many reasons why terrible detections may not be the fault of the radar detector.
My Redline has basically become deaf and blind over the past couple of weeks, no service required message displayed.

I called in and got my return authorization number this morning and told them that I have the extended service warranty (supposedly expediting the repair proceedure).

The customer service rep told me that it would be three + weeks before I recieved my Redline back.

I didn't argue or even make a comment. If it takes 3+ weeks for a repair, my V1 back up, won't be back up any longer. I'll sale the Redline and won't bother Escort again with any repair issues.

Wow 3+ is long... Usually from date sent to date received its under 3 weeks if not 2. They must have a ton of guys on vacation. Unless they are setting you up to exceed your expectations.

I guess it is summer though.

I seriously doubt that it will take 3 weeks. I bet that the service rep just forgot that you had priority service. It will still get priority service when it gets here and receiving sees that your file has an ESP. Did the service rep tell you to put "-ESP" after your R# on the outside of the shipping box?

If you like you can go over to our forum and private message me, user: EscortRadar, your details (name, address, R#) and I will verify that you get the priority service that you paid for with your ESP plan

Escort Radar customer service is available from 8am-6pm Eastern Time Mon-Fri at 1-800-543-1608

Ok, now this is weird. I literally got off the phone with Escort about 2 minutes ago to check on status for my Redline. She said it takes 2 weeks from time of arrival to fix/resolve it. When I originally sent it last week, the lady said 5-7 days.

What's scary for me is I have to drive from SLC Utah to California and back 8 days from now.... would hate to do this in the blind.

Thank you sir, I'll do just that.
I lurk over at the Escort forums, but don't post much.
After thinking about it and if it takes Escort three weeks to make my Redline well again, so be it. I'd just hate for them to send it back stating that its okee dokeee and there was nothing wrong to begin with. There is definitely something wrong, or the Redline is a POS.

Thank you for the satisfaction that I didn't receive over the phone.
