Should I be upgrading?

I bought a new car and I'm thinking about replacing my X50 from 2007 with a V1...

Mostly I drive in my town and the X50 is pretty quiet.. I just got a new job and it'll require me to drive about 10 miles on the highway.

My town uses K, KA, X, and surrounding towns use LIDAR a little.

My question is simple... Should I upgrade? I never sent my Escort in and have always left it in my vehicle 24/7. I'm from NJ.

Well, the V1 will give you a little more range than the x50 and since you are going to do more Highway that's is what the V1 is good for. Now if you go in Va. or thru there you might want to go sheath like the Redline which is a beast in range. Get a jammer for laser because just the rd will not save you but good luck and I'm sure that they will be other that come with some good advise.

Where do you guys buy your V1's? I'm afraid to touch ebay, and I don't wanna spend $400 on the V1 site.

You can get $80.00 trade in at Escort on a brand new one.

Oh yeah, member will say not to go the CL or ebay to get a V1 to be safe. I bought my on ebay but some luck out and some don't if you don't want to pay the $400.00. There are other rd that might serve you well if money is a problem or even just send your X50 in for service since you had it since 07.

You gotta be careful with buying used V1s. Most of them don't have the updated software, which is quite important IMO if you are spending that much money on a Radar
