Redline nabbed by spectre??????

Well guys here's the story. I know alot of people are going to come out and claim there is no way of my redline being picked up but lets listen to the facts. I was headed home to pick up some files I had been working on over the weekend. On my way home I pass a O.P.P officers house everyday. Well today he was sitting in his SUV highway patrol drinking coffee, looked like he was getting ready to head to work. He was facing me and I was headed the opposite direction he was facing. After I passed him he did a three point turn and began chasing me. I pulled into my driveway where he jumped out of his vehicle and yelled " hand over the radar detector" I was stunned. As I was getting my license and proof of insurance he said don't you know we have detectors that pick these up. I said I don't believe his "device picked up anything" He said think what you want it was picked up. I gave him the redline and he wrote me a ticket for "Drive motor vehicle with a speed measuring warning device"

My redline was just above the rear view mirror. I am thinking of fighting this ticket due to the nature of the offence. I believe he saw it just my thinking. Could it be possible he saw it, did I have a leaky redline?

Help!!! thoughts??

Where there any other vehicles near you? One of them may have had a non-spectere proof RD that set the spectre off.

How was it mounted? Unless it was completely stealth setup, he could've just looked inside and saw it.

According to Redline there is no spectre that can detect it.My money is that he saw it where it was mounted.

WOW.........sorry to hear your detector was confiscated.

There is one possibility I can think of here but it's a stretch.

We know that the RedLine does emit some microwave energy at power on that IS detectable by another radar detector (that other detector happened to be a Valentine One). If you take a powered on V1 and power up a RedLine next to it, the V1 will alert while the RedLine is booting up. The reason for this was determined to be bias voltages applied to the mixer circuits during the intitial power on calibration sequence of the RedLine..........apparently this produces enough RF energy to escape out through the horn(s).

Now.......I'll assume you weren't powering up the RedLine as you drove past the LEO........but, the RedLine does run through a self calibration sequence about every 15 minutes. If the LEO did in fact detect your RedLine, and your RedLine is functioning correctly, I'd assume one of these self cal sequences might have been in progress.

Really need the Escort rep to have this theory checked out.
