Default Radar Roy's Review of the Passport IQ

Hey Guys just posted my review of the Passport IQ on my blog:
    http://www.radarroy.com/2010/10/revi...adar-detector/

I also shot a video of the IQ, we should have that edited by the end of the week.

Love to get your comments/thoughts on the blog....

    Enjoy!

Roy, from your review, this sounds like an M4. Is that confirmed? Also, Does this have all of the features of the 9500ix? Truelock, autolearn/auto-unlearn, etc?

    Great review Roy!

I really think the display (as when I first saw it) is beautiful. How was it having EXP/SPEC display all rolled into one? I have to imagine fantastic!?!

EDIT: READING FAIL... I cant wait for the video... That would be the only thing missing from the review I think (but you said it is coming, which I failed to read). The interface is brand new... so the only way to see how it works is: have it in action.

When you say performance like an M4, or maps like a GPS etc... we can all understand it... because it is a reference point, but this display is a first in the industry IMO, so your video interests me a lot.

Yes, EscortRadar said it is a *modified* M4 design... HEAVILY modified I say... (judging from the picture showing its relatively miniscule depth).

Yeah a modified M4 which some people are complaining about, but in all honesty it makes perfect sense. This product is geared for the mainstream consumer and the M4's sensitivity is probably the sweat spot for that group. I wouldn't loan my Redline to any of my "non-enthusiast" friends, the K band falses would drive them insane.

Exactly, this is the PERFECT detector for the average consumer, there's no programming, need to learn curve. Plug it in, it works, and use for GPS nav.

Pretty sweet ! A stealth unit would have been usefull because its a good cover up. Probably the next most stolen device this year if its left out in view. A GPS on the windshield that reveals ESCORT would be a sign of "STEAL ME" I see so many GPS devices left out every where. Nice Review ! I look forward to the videos.
