Redline and Escort Live: Highway mode still too noisy

So I'm going to drop it back down to Auto mode, and auto no X when not in NJ.

Even with Live, highway mode is too noisy. I lockout areas, but especially in busy shopping zones, new x and k false alerts always come back.

What do you guys think? Auto seems to still offer good protection while being a bit more quiet.

I never run hwy in the city, I always adjust to a city mode even with the STiR Plus

I have heard people have issues with LIVE not holding lockout locations like it should.
I'm sure there will be an update at some point to fix this.

Hmmm, I have been toying with the idea of getting the Escort Live just for the ability to lock out falses. This makes me a bit weary

I've had live paired with a redline an a iphone 4 since last year and I have not lost any lockouts.

OP, are you using Android or Iphone?.

From what I understand the iPhone version is stable. The Android,not so much.

Running Hwy mode in the City is just asking for a chatter box. Autoscan or City mode. As far as Live! goes, my understanding is that the lock out issue is only with Android and will be updated in the next software update, V2.0

my thinking is false alert filtering should be part of the red line itself! Not needing to pay an expensive fee every month to do that. A lot of detectors have that built in already. Save your money and buy something that has lockout control.
