Default so excited to get my new redline rdr/band segment

selling my pro 300 on ebay now, if interested, contact me and will give a better price to forum. has all options, zipper case, box, warranty, no scratches.
only reason I would have got rid of the bel pro300 which has been so stellar performer is because the rdr and band segment like the old rx65 s7.
the performance is going to be sick and I want to be a part of it. I love bel but couldn't afford the sti plus so I got the new redline and cant wait to get her in my hands.
from what I can read about it so far,, it eats up any unit out there right now especially on ka bands .

well the Redline is now what it should have always been. Congrats to you.

I am a little sad how everyone is treating the v1 now, after it finally got some excellent freq. display software.

Well I just got my Redline in the mail today and it didnt last 5 minutes before I got the Service Required fault. I reset the RL twice and played with the position in my van and it happened two more times in just a couple of minutes. Escort should be ashamed of this product and the HORRIBLE quality control. I have read thread after thread dating back to 2010 and it still is happening. I need a window mounted RD that is undetectable (live in VA) and I guess I need to keep looking. I dont think I can trust a "repair" to give me the confidence I should have had to begin with. Escort you need to get your act together, $500 is way too much for garbage like this to be pawned off on such a faithful fan base. For those who have one that works, the rest of us should be so lucky.

did you buy it new or is this an ongoing issue. I just ordered mine and cant wait. the odds of getting a lemon or in need of repair buying new are well almost zero chance...at least in my 25 yrs of buying from bel/escort they have been great.
hopr they fix your issue.id u try plugging another unit in to make sure its not your alternater or battery or something strange like that. try plugging into another car and see if the error service comes up. if so, then youll know its the radar.

I just received it new from RadarBusters.com and used my Radar Roy discount. My car is brand new and everything else I plug into the lighter outlet works just fine. Given the history with this model of detector with Escort I am pretty sure I will just send it back and get a refund. I dont feel I can trust that Escort will make a solid fix and I feel a brand new one would be a gamble. $500 is a lot to spend on anything, let alone something that is just supposed to sniff the air for radar frequency bands and it cant even do that reliably.

that's just weird...for over 25 yrs, ive used nothing but escort and bel and maybe had 2 returns over the years in which both times returned bel returned me tproduct with no problems so may wanna give it a chance with the escort or bel as they usually fix whatevers broke.

It might have been easier for me to just send it in for repair if there hadnt been such a history going back three years with similar problems with the Redline. Escort should do better than that and their name has lost value with me.

I have had my Redline back from West Chester for almost a week now. I sent it in for the update and servicing. For my 140 bucks, Escort picked up the ground shipping out and the 2 day back to me which made a difference as I am in California. The unit arrived on a Thursday and my card was charged. Monday I was emailed my Redline was on the way back. One business day service. So what is that worth? 30 ish. They added a 30 dollar smart cord and a coupon for an Escort Live cord worth 60 bucks if I buy one. Oh and a new standard suction cup mount and spare cups. Another 10 bucks? They repaired the Redlines antenna which I didn't know needed repairing but ok.... And changed the plastic (what ever that means) and updated the firmware.
First thing I did was to put it in the car, set it up with Live and take it for a ride. The ramp up is fixed and the range seems greatly improved. I will need more time on it to have a stronger opinion. But so far there was no down side.

Ialmost didn't wanna sell my pro300 but I letit go...the new redline is so good and took me few days to get its ramp up and its tone during an alert down but I think I have the settings dialed in pretty god now. I almost kept the pro300 as my backup but sold on ebay on the first day for 245$. so I paid 210$ fr the new redline....cant beat that with a stick and otherthan annoying k band alerts at traffic lights that seem like a full blwn alert attimes, the redline is superb and I can live with a little of that for a whole lot of the rest of what the redline offers. that's why theres a mute button and I can always dial it back to automode from hwy if it became too much. the bottom line ironically 9/10 sheriffs here use ka bands/laser. buyt the other 1/10 cars is the k bad 24.163 c/o k band they use as well. not many run ins with k bands but I moved to hernando county fl and theres k band.
funny, im tryin gt dial k band down and get settings right and got saved from a 2+mile from the rear save from my redline on k band 24.163k. he tried sneeking up like they do but I had started to slow before he could even see me. I am glad I didn't push this alarm off as a false because of so many past few days. but I didn't and the tone seemed more intense and it was and became violent when he got within a mile and I knew,,,the redline is my new top dog, already shown me a34.7ka c/o the other day which I filmed and put on youtube under escort radar detector tags escort redline, ka fhp k band problems with filtering.
heres a link to watch on youtube the k band ramp up problems and this video is with tsr on which has cut doen on the falsing. it rocks on ka and don't haveany other issues with the unit. I love it, sold my bel and traded up to redline and if hitting the mute button at traffic lights is all I gotta do fine, at leas the redline isn't falsing while driving badly, its ahttp://youtu.be/WAt-CRSmd44t know k band sources and know falsing areas ad I love running in hwy mode so I use tsr on which adds a second delay tops to k band so I will miss I/o k bband but they only use the c/o k band and as fate would have it, the k band used against me the other night was a 24.163k cop coming up from the rear and had plenty of time to slow!
its not letting me put my youtube direct link. I have 3 videos there of my redline and my now sold pro300 against fhp ka and the k band issue. goto utube, search escort redline. look under my videos Jessie pinkman.
    peace and happiness
