    Hadn't noticed. I was really much more interested in its performance.
    Maybe they could do a Bill Blass edition?

    In reading their ad, they seem to imply that using DSP is a new tech in the radar detector market. They also have an image that looks like FFT (or similar) filtering. Has this not been done before? There's no way...

    i think i'm going to trade in my 9500ix for the $120 and buy a new one for $450 -- hell mine works fine maybe I'll
    get lucky and they might ship my unit back for $445--- COOL

    Back in the '80s, Escort had a detector called the Passport DSP model. It kicked the Escort and the Passprt in the butt for range. DSP's have been around for years. The max has newer technology that improves the performance. But, the idea of a DSP in radar detector has been around for awhile.

    It has a bit of a twist on the technology as it's a totally digital detector without a analog detection section according to escort. That way it can scan many radar channels much faster
