I am also wondering if anyone thinks that Escort will be replacing the Redline with an even better unit that is just as undetectable Given that the Redline has been out for many years.Thank you
The are no pop K band radar guns in Ontario. The K band that you encounter from the OPP are Decatur Genesis units--not capable of transmitting 16ms POP.
Now to answer your questions, the Magnum you're running is a perfectly good detector, you couldn't justify spending the money to buy a new redline.
X2, BUT the Redline of yore is NOT the Redline of today. When you guys tested my unit years ago, it was nicknamed Sleeping Beauty and rightfully so. ON IO/QT shots, it was dreadful and in fact, outright missed some Ka band shots. NOW, with RDR Toggle and Ka Band segmentation, the Redline is indeed one step ahead (or two) of the Valentine 1 in Ka band range without any doubt. My old Sti Driver performs great (still), BUT nowhere near my Redline with Ka Band segmentation and RDR toggle OFF. (the updated Magnum still does not get that firmware update that Redline did in April 2013) Its simply night and day in performance. Now the Redline performs like an unleashed Stir-O of yore.
