New here, trying to decide what detector to get

Hi everyone,

New to the scene, bought a cobra 2 months ago from best buy. to be honest, its complete ****. I can usually see the LEO before the detector goes off.

I'm trying to decide what to upgrade to, I live in Cleveland, and everyone knows how bad it is up here. I'm trying to decide between a whistler 695 SE, 695, pro 78 SE, escort 8500, 8500 X50. I do mostly city driving, but I also go home to NJ a lot. This involves going across PA on I-80 for 300 miles, so I need to be protected against I/O K-band as well.

Welcome to the forum! From looking at all of your choices, I believe I would go with a Refurb 8500 from Escort.

Get a used one.

I bought my 3.812 for $200. Use my vid to check the versions if you DO go and check one out.
