Best place to mount it on windshiled - Center or behind rear view mirror???

People say high up....inside of course but I've done test low and high and I got the alert at the same spot

Thanks for the info. This is my fourth day with the 9500ix and fell in love with it. I tested this one side by side with the iradar and beltronics 940. Huge leap in technology for my safety. With the Escort, I get warnings two to three seconds ahead of time. These few seconds mean a lot...

Welcome. I guess you could place the RD behind the RVM several feet back to get reflections off the mirrow for better rear alarms, I would not. Center is a great all around spot for both radar (higher mount) and laser (lower mostly) detection.....
