    Default Reading valentine at night

    Im not good at remembering which light is which band and at night its so difficult to see which band is lighting up on the v1. any solutions?

    X band off, K band makes a single beep, Ka is a double sound, ba dap. I never see those lights either. You will learn the different sound in no time.

    If X band radar is not used in your area, then it might be safe to turn it off. Where do you live and drive? Members here might know if it's safe to turn X band off in your area. You can read the basics here:

    My bad. I run x off on my V1 and leave it on highway mode on my Sti-R. Most people can run with it off, depends on where you live.

    i am in NYC. i drive to NJ shore a lot. i am under the impression that x band is used in NJ

    Yes it is so don't disable it. Doesn't really matter because all bands make a different sound on the V1. You will get used to the alerts soon enough.

    This was one of my issues with the V1.
    Once you get used to it,the sound will tell you everything you need to know.
