First LI SAVE!!

This LI save (my first since install about 8 months ago) happened about 2 weeks ago, but I've been too busy to post it. BTW I have not been able to test my setup since install and have been nervous about not having been able to.
I was coming home from work about 1am on a 4 lane road with PSL of 45. I was the ONLY car on the road and was going about 75 when I had just punched it (as I frequently do on this isolated stretch to feel the difference since my recent header and full exhaust/intake install on my IS F) and was quickly in the 90's when my LI's alerted for the first time ever (gun was a Prolaser III)!!! I was shocked and suprised, but quickly got my composure... Slammed on the brakes... then noticed the cop perpendicular to my road on a side road up ahead (i'm a poor judge at distance so I won't even bother to guess) parked and trying to drum up buisiness! I slowed rapidly to about 50mph and killed the LI's. I thought for sure he'd pull out or flash lights or something.... but nothing! I was sooo relieved the LI's came through and certainly helped pay for themselves on this one.
An interesting side note is that my STiR-Plus was on the fritz and had not been picking up any radar for the previous 2 or so weeks (I was suspicious at the time that it was being waaaay too quiet (as in alerting to NOTHING), but hadn't confirmed it yet with comparing to my 9500ix that is wasn't working. SOOO... If the cop had been using good radar, I'd have been cooked! Finally I get some GREAT LUCK thrown my way!!!

That is more than just a simple speeding ticket save - at least in my neck of the woods 45+ over the limit is some pretty serious business!

Nice save! I had three saves going 20-25 over the limit in the first 10 months I had mine. The first I had was the day after I installed it and exactly where I had gotten my ticket, what a great feeling that was.

The last save I had was two months ago when I was going 105 in a 60 at 1 in the morning. I slowed down to 60 and cut the unit but I was sure he was going to pull out after me. But nothing happened. That really made my day.

can't believe it, but just got my second save a couple of nights ago taking the 14 year old baby sitter home! 60 in a 40mph.... She FREAKED! LOL
(alert is pretty loud in my set up)
