Default Please Help Me Figure out Where to Mount Laser Interceptor

First of all, this is my first post here. I'd just like to thank everyone here for all of the great information that's helped me decide what I want to do to my car. I've been lurking here and I decided it's time for me to join!

Anyway, I just ordered a Laser Interceptor and now I have to figure out where to mount it.

Here is a picture of the front of my car, a 2006 Ford Escape Limited

The grill is a weird honeycomb shape which won't lend itself to mounting the heads in. The lower grill however, is perect for it except I think it will be too low to provide sufficient coverage for the headlights (even though it would be perfect for the front plate).

If you were me, where would you mount the heads? Am I going to have to cut out the grill? I would REALLY rather not do this - also, even if I did get them mounted in the grill, would their performance be reduced by the fact that the grill is inset by several inches from the rest of the car (as you can see in the picture)?

Thanks in advance for the help guys, I really need this for my upcoming road trip.

You should check the cost of a grille it might be lower than you think.

Given the effectiveness of the LI I wouldnt sweat its position all that much.

From RR.net cross-posting, the OP has expressed interest in cutting his factory upper grill ( and like you mentioned, spankyaf, the OP has already confirmed that his factory grill costs only around $85  ).

Your lower grill corners should work fine. That's about how I installed on my S60. Good luck
