Laser Range Finder

OK I've searched and cannot find this. I have a Game/Hunting Laser Range Finder(Osprey International EMC4 Comet, www.miniosprey.com)? It does measure speed. So can I use it to test my Blinders after they are installed. The laser type is a Class 1 with a 40mm laser lens. How does it compare to a real laser gun, I am sure it is much less powerful.

yeah you can use it, i wouldnt say it is much less powerfull than a real gun, i can get speed readings at 1km with mine.

They say the Osprey is simalar to the Pro Laser 3

The beam is TIGHTER than a LTI at 7 feet

same ~30 feet, wider I think at 100 feet but the clarity wasn't so good, so I gather the intensity is less than the LTI Marksman which takes 12v for the cig lighter and the Osprey has a 9V battery.
