Default Just received my ZR4, need mounting advice

I decided not to use the thread in the main forum, seems to me that no one really responds there.

UPS just dropped off my shifter so I was planning on starting to install it when I get home from work. Not sure where on my car to mount to two front heads, since I have a couple of spots that seem like they would work well. Any advice is appreciated!

Its actually not my car, just pulled it from the net My car is red.

Thank you very much for the input! I am definately planning on picking up some Veil once the G4 is released for sale. I was only considering the red location because I thought headlights were targeted a lot, and that would put the jammer right under the headlights.

I chose blue since the blue location is within the cone for the average 800ft laser shot. Your vehicle is rather unique in that it doesn't feature any fairly flat surfaces which could throw a direct return to a laser gun source.

-- The Lexus emblem -- Veil it, preferably by removing it and applying Veil and then reattaching the emblem.

-- The only "hot spot" which I otherwise see is the vertical ridge running directly below the Lexus emblem. You might want to Veil that area too even though visually it will look tacky.

-- Veil the headlights and the fog/turn lamps or, if you don't want your headlight illumination affected by Veil, at least Veil the fog/turn lamps.

-- Keep the entire front bumper panel heavily waxed in order to scatter laser hits off and into any direction other than a strong direct return.

    Just my thoughts.

Regardless of the preliminary test results, I decided to take a blind leap of faith and go with Escort on this one Between the substantially higher costs of other systems, and questionable reliability/customer service, I wanted to go with a proven product line. I installed the ZR3 system on my father's Ford Expedition a few years ago and it has done very well for us. Multiple saves, no tickets.

Yes, I expect excellent performance once I get to do some testing. I know my cars front end is about as good as it gets for jamming laser.

I will probably refrain from applying Veil directly to the car's surface, but thanks for the tip on keeping things heavily waxed. I can definitely swing that. But I will apply it everywhere else per your recommendations

Thank you guys for all the input

Blue for me 2. Also make sure those heads are level.

Be sure to report your real world encounters. That kind of thing is almost as good as testing.

    I concur. Blue.

And if the ZR3's worked for your local area threats, then it's very likely that the ZR4 will work well, too.
