List of Laser Guns in what states

As a newbie to the whole laser, LJ scene;

What value is there in knowing which laser gun LEO is using in any particular city?

Should one assume that some LJ's are not effective against some lasers or is there some other issue I'm missing.

Thanks Motor On. I did read those and I understand that each brand of gun has unique characteristics however, I still am not sure I understand WHY I, as a driver, would CARE about which gun LEO is shooting me with.

While I can appreciate the end result ( getting hit by .22 versus .45 ), the fact is I'm still hit.

Jammers don't discriminate. The driver has to respond the same no matter what caliber is coming at you.

I just don't get it.

Some systems and setups perform better against some guns and worse on others. If you know they are using a gun that you perform worse against in your area then you can take extra precaution or beef up your setup to protect you.

Also some guns have jam codes, if you are in a banned state this may be good info when choosing your particular setup.

So, In my case I should prepare for:

Florida - Laser Atlanta, Pro Laser II & III, LTI Ultralyte, Pro-Lite, Stalker LZ1, LTI TruSpeed, LTI Marksman

It's best to be prepared for all, but sometimes you need help from Veil or extra heads, etc depending on the guns you have in your area. Probably won't see much of the PL2 or the Marksman, but the others would be good to have covered.


In my area it's almost all PL3 with an occasional UL and LA.

But I have seen systems that are rock solid on every gun but one. Mine is one of those as is Rsatmans and Lawdawg.

I added the HP's on the rear to conquer the weakness I had.

There have been reports of "binocular-style" LIDAR guns in NH and MA recently. Don't know if they're LR-B or ProLite(+) as of yet, but something to add to the list.

I would guess Pro-Lite for NH at least. MA, could be either, since they have other Laser Atlanta guns.

kaotik78 reported the guns in NH and Donut Patrol in MA.

I came upon a LEO using a Pro Laser III today. I was making a turn, after coming to a full stop, and was only about ten feet from the LEO using the gun to check approaching traffic on the street I was turning onto. That's the first time I was able to get a really good look at the gun in use.

Location: Westview, between Gessner and Beltway-8 (half-mile north of I-10) Houston, TX 2:00 PM, March 5, 2010.
