Default I/O Style K Drones around Dayton on I-70?

This weekend I drove to Dayton to get dinner on I-70E and couldn't help but noticing that the V1 continually reported I/O style K band behavior, none of which corresponded to any cop sightings (although it did pick up an OHSP running C/O Ka with a victim). I got some nothing-to-full-blast episodes, and given the speeds I was going, either my rabbits, me, or both would have been invited to a roadside disco.

Does anyone else have similar experiences in this area?

Yes. They are mounted on poles along the interstate and shoot a k-band blast every 10-15 seconds.

I've noticed this around Dayton too. So, what's this intended to do---it's not like they have cameras on the radar?

Searching "dayton" using "search titles only" would have answered this.

    Wrong. They are not drones.

I think they are used to monitor the speed of traffic for research, or they report the speed of traffic flow to web based traffic info websites.

Correct, drones is not the correct term. My answer yes was referring to the question if anyone else had experiences with these in this area. Sorry for the confusion.
