    Default I80 in PA questions

Hey guys, I need to take a trip to PA on I80 from NJ to visit a family member. What do they use on that highway in terms of traffic enforcement?

Only PSP using radar? Or is there ENRADD/VASCAR/etc used there as well?

Only the PSP is legally allowed to use radar. I don't think I've ever seen a local cop enforce an interstate, which leads me to...

ENRADD. It's just a way for local yokels to get around the radar ban. If I saw it on the interstate I'd be shocked.

I'm not sure if vascar is used on that road, but that's the only threat you listed that I could see you having to face. To clarify, I mean aerial vascar, where the lines are some significant fraction of a mile apart and they time you from an airplane.

Traveled I-80 many of times. I see a lot of instant on and depending on what day and time of day there ain't that many cars so it's deadly. The CB is the best tool in my opinion for I80.

And just keep an eye in the sky as well bc there are many aircraft VASCAR lines.

Jersey is nuts w/laser on I80. They love to shoot you in the gashole from the woods. "Only" concerns in PA, are aerial VASCAR and K band I/O from medians, woods, on ramps etc. Oh, yeah, don't forget pacing with unmarks, in NJ and PA. Once you get off the interstate, watch for the locals. All the way to PA to visit a family "member"? You must have a large family.

    Yup, my family is big

Yea, I'll just deal with the cops once I'm on the highway. I'll need to be jacked up on redbull to watch out for I/O traps in the wood, on on-ramps, aircraft in the sky and white lines on the road!!
