What state police do you think is the worst???

Hey whats up guys I have traveled thru all of New England for my job and I must say out of NH,VT,CT,RI,ME I must say the worst is MASS State police that have LIDAR and K band shoot outs no joke I swear I hear them on the scanner having a party.

So thats my input tell me your guys what do you think is the worst state police?
I want details please I want the terrible things that they try and pull

Well it's not a state but a commonwealth, VA is the anti-automotive state, at every level of enforcement and law making. BUt they've dropped

In California, the CHP has master visual estimation, which make for deadly I/O Ka, as well as prolific pacing, which is undetectable, and the growing proliferation of LIDAR to make their jobs easier. Frequent use of areial patrols, well trained in VASCAR, many roads to lull you into a false sense of security/ It certainly is one of the few areas out there where I've felt like I always had to be engaged in "the game" to be adequately prepared for normal travel.

NO NO NO You got me wrong on the scared part. Here in MA state troopers will follow you for miles and they will sit in the blind spot next to you driving pull you over and tell you that you were speeding when you werre doing PSL and also state that did not see them. Or they will state that you went over the white lines but you did not other times they will follow you so close to your bumper to see if you will go faster and when you move over to the even slower lane they move with you. I have been followed all the way home before 4 miles from my house on the highway All of theses things have happen to me.

Everybody is going to say its their home state. The worst state troopers are found in each department in every state. Some know what their doing and some don't.

This has been discussed here before and the shortlist is always

1. Ohio
2. The "Commonwealth" VA
3. Florida (for their unbelievable use of unmarked cars)

MASS is still up there. NJ and NY state troopers get a lot of complaints.
California gets a bunch of votes as well because of the sheer numbers of officers in circulation. TX has gotten a lot of votes because of how crafty the DPS is but frankly I think they are too strung out over large territories to be in serious consideration. Like Cali, there's a certain amount of safety in numbers.

I have a different take and that would be because I am a retired cop. The worst State for me is WI. I make trips to MN and PA and Duck, NC. I always seem to get stopped in WI for speeding. The last time, 5 years ago-knock on wood. My Wife and Son were watching Shark Tale and they had the volume up. My V1 was going off but I did not here it and by the time I looked up and saw the lights on my V1 there were brighter lights behind me. This is the 2nd ticket I have gotten from WI in the last 15 years. I have only gotten 2 tickets in the last 15 years. There you pay on the spot or you go straight to jail if you have an out of State license. I do my very best not to ever use my badge to get out of a ticket.( I am not one of those) Where ever I am going I have my H&K on my side, and I always tell the cop that I am armed. VA sucks and should be stripped of its Statehood and should be stripped.

I've been bagged by the missed alert or drowned out alert a couple of times. Although head slapping I don't think that alone should indict a state as tough enforcement state. Adjust your setup with a loud speaker or put the family on earphones to keep alerts distinquishable from cabin noise.

I heard the same thing Ohio due to the crazy crime rate. I was driving in Hartford CT right under the bridge that states "Welcome to Hartford" this was a 55 and I was going 75 the cop was on the on ramp shooting instant K got me I then shyt a bricket. He never went for me and I was running by myself it was weird. I never again went that fast into the city.

My vote is for Ohio. I believe noTe stated they use I/O X band?? That is deadly...

I'm shocked no one has listed the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Not to mention that speeding in excess of 15 mph on any roadway or going over 80 is reckless driving and a mandatory 30 day license suspension. The fines are outrageous in NC. They take lidar from bridges, use instant on at night. Shoot from on ramps. Virginia is also an over-barring police state. 20 mph over the PSL is reckless driving. No RD allowed, anything over 80 is reckless driving a criminal offense and you face serious fines, mandatory court appearance, possibly license suspension, or even jail time for speeding. So in my order I would say...
1. North Carolina
2. Virginia
3. California
