SARASOTA - Have you ever been pulled over by a horse before? Some Sarasota drivers now can say they have.
The Sarasota Sheriff's mounted patrol was out on Bahia Vista Friday afternoon, ticketing drivers. The officer would point his radar at the drivers, and if they were speeding, the mounted patrol would step out into traffic to flag the driver down.
Most of those pulled over seemed stunned at being stopped by a horse, and some even happy to get the citation, in exchange for a chance to pet the four-legged deputy.
